In Volume IV of The Jewish Encyclopaedia, published in 1902, there appears two pages of "autographs of Jewish celebrities." They are arranged in alphabetical order, and coincidentally, Karl Marx appears right next to Mayer Amschel Rothschild, and is just once-removed, from being next to Lionel de Rothschild, his second-cousins-once-removed.
