The Jew must conquer the world and master humanity

Benjamin Disraeli (1804 -1881)

In 1902, J. de Haas, Secretary of the Zionist Federation of England, wrote an article about
Benjamin Disraeli which appeared in the Pittsburg Jewish publication The Jewish Criterion:

To fine it down, not only was Disraeli a Jew, but he had faith in the Semitic race, in the strength of Semitic intellect and idealism. From his unique position he could say what no other Jew dared whisper, that the Semite must conquer the world, that the Jew must master humanity before it could attain to the higher flights of civilization ; in fact, he believed indeed, he worshipped the Jewish mission: "And the law shall go forth from Zion." It is a strange phrase in that cynical mouth, and yet he fully believed it, and, worshipping the idea, strove for it with all his might.
