Schnapps from Auschwitz

Oświęcim is what the Poles renamed the Germanic

town of Auschwitz, founded in the 13th century.

The oldest Jewish business was Jakob Haberfeld's distillery, founded in 1804, which made the town famous for many miles around with its trademark 'Schnapps from Oświęcim.'
