4.5 million killed at Auschwitz & soap: Nuremberg Indictment




The I G Farben trial (August 27, 1947 until July 30, 1948) was the 6th of
the 12 Subsequent Nuremberg trials, they all took place in the same
courtroom as the main International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg.

In the indictment of the I G Farben trial, it states the following:
In Auschwitz alone, three to four million persons were exterminated, and another one half million died from disease and starvation. ... In some instances, attempts were made to utilize the fat from the bodies of the victims in the commercial manufacture of soap.
