Nazi losses set at six million

The source for this figure is a correspondent from Russian newspaper Pravada.
It's possibly Boris "Auschwitz electrocution conveyor belts" Polevoy. Or it could
be Ilya Ehrenburg. Men, Jews, who if they told you the time, you'd check seven
separate clocks before believing them

Patrick Buchanan in his excellent 2008 book Hitler, Churchill and the
Unnecessary War, puts German military deaths for the entire Second
World War at 5.5 million, with between 16.5 - 22 million injured (p. 303)
