DeleteThere is evidence that Reinhard Heydrich, head of the SD until he was assassinated in 1943, had Jewish ancestry. Canaris, head of the Abwehr, who was working against Hitler, used this knowledge to keep Heydrich at arm's length. The information is in Bodyguard of Lies by Anthony Cave Brown.
